MATT: Originally, Matt only joined BRB to help out until someone permanent could be found, as his passion lay with rock and metal. But after sometime, it became clear that Matt's style and technique went far beyond the distortion of the rock world. In fact, Jeff used to joke that Matt was the best blues guitarist he knew. But its on songs such as, If i, Sundowner, and the popular No Matter The Past, that his creativity on the acoustic has sometimes stunned his band mates. And the haunting sounds he manages to push out from his Telecaster and Stratocaster on songs like, Driving The Rain, Heart Of An Empty Man, and the memorable, Will I Be, have made him a permanent fixture in the BRB line up. And yes, his blues licks and leads are ok too.
